HELLO i m gona put on my flame proof pod suit before i say this.
im sure that 99.9999% of everything i hear about installing the test server on your system is crap that said however.
im a huge comp NOOB i do good just to download things why cant a download be made without haveing to go in to your files and change stuff i would glady help if i didnt have to do this.
just a thought and if this allready exist and i am just that dumb sorry to have wasted your time.

It is actually incredibly, incredibly easy. You don't have change anything in any files. Get to your eve folder (c\program files\ccp\eve), highlight the eve folder, control+c, get to your desktop, control+v. Wait for it to move the files, go to the patch page, click the button that says "update from current live patch" or whatnot, then when it says to install it to the directory NOT your eve directory, just point it to the one on desktop. And you're good to go.
THX for the info i will try this but i support the test server button that some folks below me posted
